Several times a day I tell my kids that I love them! The other day Boston said, "Mom I already know that you love me, so you don't have to keep telling me that."

after A LOT of thought and tears i have decided not to schedule any more photo shoots indefinitely! i want to thank each of you who have trusted me take your pictures. . .it was a privilege!!!! right now my kids are growing at a crazy rate and now is the most important time for me to be HOME! they still love me and BEG to play with me so i need to take advantage of it before i am replaced with friends!

i will continue to take pictures of my family and post them on this blog.

i am sure that one day it will be the RIGHT time to pursue my passion, but for now my heart is with my three small children who have so much to learn. . . and i am the teacher:)

thanks again to everybody who i have photographed. . .i consider you my friends!

jill was my neighbor growing up and last weekend i got to meet her husband and take some pics. they have been married for over eight years(i think:), and they are so perfect for each other! They have a dog named gussy, and it was my first time photographing a dog! i kept talking to the dog as if he were a little baby and making crazy noises with my mouth! well it seems like i need a few lessons on dog photography!

luci turns four

i can't believe that my little girl is four! the time is going by way to fast.
some things i don't want to forget about Luci at this age are:

she loves to eat oatmeal. Luci loves salad, tomatoes, broccoli, avocados, and of course candy.
she plays dress up and 'mom and dad' ALL day long. she comes up with the BEST made up names for her dolls.
Luci is VERY independent and wants to do everything herself. she laughs freely and corrects my english:)
Luci loves to do cheer leading and she is always the first one to dig in the dirt and play with worms and slugs.
she was the most excited to turn four because now she can start preschool and she has been begging me to teach her how to read for a year now.
Luci walks up to complete strangers and will have a complete conversation with them. she asks a TON of questions and wants to figure out how the world spins right now.
she loves her boots because they make sounds when she walks.(these are the only shoes she ever wants to wear!)

Luci you are mischievous and good. you are sweet and sassy. you are confident and loud. you are strong willed and sensitive!
i would NOT want you ANY other way! i love you and please stay little for me:)

we have a Christmas book at our house that we still read quite often! my kids have memorized the last few words on each page. . .perfectly perfect! although some of us might think that are "cheeks are chubby" or we are "not good at modeling" i look at this picture and see PERFECTLY PERFECT! my husbands birthday was on sunday and i just wanted to let him know how much i am still in love with him!
we met on a blind date and for those of you who don't know our story(i am pretty sure that most of you do) i will fill you in!
i think i had already been on hundreds of blind dates and i think my family was starting to worry that i wasn't going to get married! when my sister lined me up i wasn't really the most excited to go! anyway, the second i saw him i went to the nearest bathroom to call my mom! when she answered i said,"mom. . . .i have struck GOLD!!!!!"
i still believe i got the better end of the deal and he is better than gold! i could not have dreamed up a better person for me and i am so lucky that he is my man!

i can't think of a better christmas present than a tiny little baby! he has the best hair and those cheeks are already perfect for squeezing! i am pretty sure that this little guy will grow up to be a rock star or absolutely despise getting pictures taken (the first 2 out of 5 days of his life he has had a camera in his face). i will keep you posted!

today my little boy turns six and i want him to know how special he is to me. i feel so blessed to have him in my life and i am so greatful for all the things he teaches me!
boston is so sweet. he is always helping his little sisters and he will clean his room or unload the dishwasher and tells me, "mom i didn't want you to have to do all the work." he is always concerened about others. when my mom buys him presents or gives him dollar bills he will turn it away with tears and say, "you keep it grandma. . . i don't want you to waste all your money." he never forgets to bless the "poor kids" in his prayers and when boston and luci are fighting he is usually the one to give up the "blue cup" to his sister so she won't be sad. he is a peacemaker.
boston is always happy. he loves to smile, laugh, and be a crazy boy.

although i am not great at expressing myself i want you to know boston that i love you more that you will ever understand and i would give up anything for you. i will never forget the feeling i had when i first held you in my arms or when i knew you we were waiting to come to our family! you bring me more joy than anything else could! please as you turn one year older. . . .don't forget how much i love you and that, "i love you more than life"

boston is turning six and i really needed some good pictures! i tried taking him out just alone and all i would get was fake smiles and "are we done yet"! so i decided if we brought some of his friends along then he would forget about pictures and just play and have fun. well. . . for the most part it worked! i hope all of you enjoy looking at my happy boy and his friends because this is what i enjoy looking at everyday! a huge thanks to all of his little friends who came and played with us and for making boston so happy! enjoy!

i know they are all beautiful, and all look like models but that is not the reason i call them the model family. i call them the model family because these boys are what i want my children to act like ALL the time! they were all so polite and happy. . . and anything i asked them to do they did before i even asked (so it seemed). They laughed freely and nobody was too stressed. it was the perfect day and the perfect family. i am so glad i got to meet all of you!!! what a privilege!

this is one of my all time favorite families!!!! they are one of the first families i took pictures of and i fall more in love with them every year they come back. . .and i just found out they are moving to ALASKA!!
i will miss you so much tia and i hope we can stay in touch. . . you're all so beautiful and the people of alaska are so lucky to get your family.

we will start with the oldest. . . madaline! everyone in the family looks up to her and she is close to perfect. she is a natural in front of the camera!

then we have andrew the only boy! like any boy i don't think he likes taking pictures but he is always a great sport and will do anything i ask!

next we have eliza. . . who is so adorable i want to squeeze her and bring her home with me! she is so sweet and the camera loves her!

last we have the baby. . .gracie! she unlike the others does NOT like the camera in her face or anywhere she can she it! so i reallly REALLY like a challenge!
so i had to pull out all my jokes, animal sounds and kisses to get some great shots and as you can see i think we won the battle!!

finally we can't forget about mom and dad. they are probably two of the greatest people i have ever met. i will miss you and your family so much and i hope when you move back to utah (i HOPE) we can be next door neighbors. i love you and will never forget you!!!!! good luck on your adventures

this family made my job really easy! when amy called to schedule a time she said she wanted to go into ogden and she already had all their outfits picked out. then i showed up and saw how beautiful they were and my life was easy. you guys were so awesome and i loved getting to know your family!!!

naked boys, little bums, fresh fruit, the boat, grandpas swimming pool, and summer(to name just a few), but most of all i will miss the five year old, three year old, and 11 month old because they wont stop growing up.
the older my kids get the faster time flies (especially summer) and i want to remember every second of it. these are the best times in my life. i love you boston, luci and kate. thanks for giving me something to look forward to everyday!

i dont know about you but when i see the word CAFE i think of a cool hang out place. . . so if your looking for somewhere fun and if you love ice cream you have to try this new business out in clinton. it has something for everyone. it has the thick creamy ice cream and custard for my husband and the fat free frozen yogurt for me (they also have my favorite flavor 'tart'.) they have so many toppings from fresh fruit to candy bars. . .they even have sprinkles and bubble gum for the little ones if your nice enough to bring them on your date.
They just opened about a week ago and they part of the farrs ice cream in ogden we all know and love.

my sister had a birthday about 6 weeks ago. it was the day we got home from vacation and i already had in mind the perfect present i wanted to get her. to my disappointment the serving platters were way out of my price range so i kept looking! i have been to every store trying to find something that she would LOVE (and that i could afford)! finally i got to keep her little three year old for a day while she was gone!
so i curled her hair right when she got to my house and went in luci's closet to find something for her to wear! as soon as we had her hair done i packed all the kids in the car to go do a photoshoot!
i told all the kids that they were in big trouble if they said anything about pictures and i tried to do a bunch of other things with them that day so when my sister asked, "what did you do today" they would shout out something besides pictures!
finally right before my sister came to pick her up i had the girls go and get in their swimming suit suits and i dunked their heads in water to hide the curls!
anyway. . . i just want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY kodi. . .i love you and i hope these pics were worth the wait

no. . . i am not pregnant but after taking this little guys pictures i wish i was! i thought after taking pictures of so many girls and all their accessories that a boy might look a little plain. BOY. . .was i wrong! this little chunk of love was a perfect, beautiful baby (and only 6 days old)!

i know that i am a month late but these were too cute not to post!
when we were getting ready that morning for the parade i was talking to the kids about freedom and what it meant to be "free". Luci was staring at me and soaking in every word that came out of my mouth and when i was done talking she said, "mommy i "free" years old." ok . . . so maybe i should save my patriotic sermon for when they are little older than three.

we always spend the evening at oakridge country club and the kids love it. they have a live band, face painting and all you can eat buffet. i could not get boston to smile and in this picture i told him to roar like a lion and if you cant tell by the pic he sounded like a baby kitten. later i found out that he had influenza A and was really sick for a week. he is sooo cute even when he's sick

i know these pics are not the best i have taken and i know that the lighting is not perfect but i will never forget the day that i dropped off my little boy to kindergarten! boston was so excited i thought i had made a huge mistake putting him in the afternoon class. . . the morning dragged on forever it seemed! we got to the school a few minutes early to take some pics to find alot of other moms there as well! the last thing he wanted was his pictures taken so i tried to let him play and snap a few when i could.

i wanted to run in after him but he wants to grow up ! he can't wait to learn, make new friends and become more independent! i hope all his dreams come true and as hard as it is to let my baby grow up. . . . everyday he makes me more proud!

I love luci but boy does she have a mind of her own! i have been convincing her for weeks that she has to have pictures before she can have a birthday party.
